Thanksgiving and Christmas tree shopping

Thanksgiving Day at my parents' house. We decorated gift bags for the homeless ministry at our church.

Margot finally got her first two teeth and loves cheerios.....the peas, not so much!

Tickling is the new fun game between the girls. Eloise does a pretty good job of dramatizing the receiving end when Margot is tickling her.

Margot is moving around quite a bit now and is just starting to pull up on things. She'll stand at this toy as long as her little legs will hold her!

Eloise made some turkeys today and we gave them to a few neighbors to help them decorate.

Ecole du Samedi

Eloise and Alan have started going to a little French school on Saturday mornings. Eloise loves it and giggles and sings the french songs at home, but she's slowly warming up to participating in class. This past Saturday, the kids could come in costume (she went as a bee since it was a less cumbersome costume than the chicken that is planned for Halloween night). They even serve fresh pain au chocolat....mmmmm, mmmmm!

We love PINK!!

We were all invited to my niece's "Pink" birthday party. We wore our best pink party clothes-Grandma even arrived in a pink gown (one of my old bridesmaid's dresses....see you can wear those things more than once!).

Lazy fun

Life has finally started to slow down and we love it! Laying around is one of our favorite new past times!

Alan is perfecting his technique of feeding laziness. How little effort can I exert to feed the baby? I cannot possibly sit up right now.

photoshoot attempt

The girls received these beautiful dresses from my sister-in-law's parents when Margot was born. I loved them so much that I wanted to save them for an opportunity to have the girls' pictures taken. Well, it was getting chillier and I had not made it happen, so with the help of my mom I took them to a cute area and tried to take pictures myself. It wasn't exactly successful. These first 3 are the best pictures of the two of them together. Hopefully, the dresess will still fit in the spring and we can try again!

Of the 200+ pictures that I snapped, there were 32 pictures like this....of the back of Eloise while she was running away. She was absolutely not interested in smiling for the camera or posing with Margot AT ALL!

With the fall festival season comes plenty of face painting......Grandma even painted pumpkins on Eloise's cheeks with her water color set, which now has become standard operating procedure while Eloise is painting.

Our new neighbor

One of Eloise's favorite things about our new house is the 2 year old little girl next door. They love each other and especially each other's toys! A few weeks ago, the neighbor's didn't have water, so we threw them in the tub together.

Centennial Olympic Park

We spent an afternoon downtown at Centennial Olympic Park for a family fun day. There was also an all-day dance recital going on with occasional crowd participation. Our babysitter, Noelle, is a ballet teacher with Atlanta Ballet and was performing, but we arrived late and missed it unfortunately.

There are fountains that spray up in the shape of the Olympic rings and you can run in and out of the circles without getting wet if you time it just right. Eloise and I were trying to do that but didn't stay dry, oops!
