Alan and I got to watch the finish of the Tour de France on the Ave des Champs Elysees. We had to plant ourselves about 3 1/2 hours prior to the racers' arrival to get good seats! After arriving from the south and riding through Paris, they rode up and down the Champs Elysees 7 or 8 times to the finish line at the Place de la Concorde. Here's the leader wearing the yellow jersey.He had a one minute five second lead going into the final stage, so he just had to stay with the rest of the pack to win the tour.
