For months, Eloise has been talking about, planning and anticipating her birthday cake. For awhile she wanted a Toy Story party and a Jessie cake. We would sit for long periods of time checking out each of the pictures posted on Google images for "Jessie cakes." Then she had a change of heart and all we care about these days are princesses and especially Cinderella, as Eloise's favorite color is blue. So, the Toy Story party supplies were returned to the store and we then searched "Cinderella cakes" more times than I care to count. The last words as she went to bed and the first as she awoke on her birthday were about the Cinderella cake. Oh, the pressure! So, my mom and I started baking the cake Friday night only to start out the project like this....
We laughed so hard that we nearly wet our pants and quickly hid the evidence from Eloise (as she was still awake). So, after 4 containers of icing, I managed to piece it all back together and create a little girl's dream come true. She loved it and had a wonderful birthday party! Thanks to my mom for transforming our dining room into a Ball
(including using the bows from our wedding).

what wonderful princesses you have. we are filled with wonder how you got all that 'royal celebration' stuff together. (it helps to see the start of that cake!)
M. did a good job showing you that to be a princess you only need the slippers and tiara!
