Re-Onion 2009 Emerald Isle

Alan's extended family on his Dad's side gathers at the beach every couple of years for a family reunion. We had a fun and relaxing time and Eloise loved getting to know her cousins. Although she's a cutie, this little one did not care for the beach very much!

Eloise and Aunt Kay

As a joke Alan's Aunt Page made this t-shirt of 'eloise in Paris' for Grandpa. We all know that he's a closet Obama fan anyways.

One of the beach houses had a pool where we all spent hours and hours. Can we go back yet?? It was such a wonderful week and we miss everyone already!

Hagle Staycation

Our plans for a week at the beach fell through, so we planned different in-town events for our "staycation." Unfortunately, I only brought my camera with me on this one day (and Uncle Jeff wasn't even there). We kayaked down the Chattahoochee and picniced along the river for Pop's 60th, we went to a local market to listen to some bluegrass music, we played laser tag, hit the pool, and hiked up to see some waterfalls in North Georgia (see pictures below).

EAT MOR CHIKIN

So, this was definitely one the the greatest days I've had in awhile!!!! If you know me at all, you know how much I LOVE Chick Fil A! Friday was the 5th annual Cow appreciation Day and if you dressed like a cow you got free food. I convinced the gang to go all the way. I'm pretty sure Dawn, Madeline and I worked on our costumes for over 3 hours, but it was totally worth it!!!

I have the greatest husband ever!!!!

Eloise even got her very own kids meal and managed to eat 3 nuggets, fruit and a fry or two!

The enormous Chick Fil A cow came to say hello to Elosie. She just sat there expressionless, checking him out.

Celebrating the 4th of July!

Hanging out with Logan

Alan, my brother Jeff, and I went to see the Braves and Phillies face off. It was a wonderful moment to get to witness the Braves SWEEP the Phillies in person. Alan pretty much didn't talk the entire way home.

Hiking around a creek with Eloise, my mom and Logan

We got to attend church with my brother, Brian's family to see the kids perform all the great songs that they learned at VBS.

Swimming with GraMoM

Aside from some serious bedhead, Eloise had a ball visiting GraMom and Grandpa's pool in SUNNY England. Thanks GraMom for teaching this little one to love the pool!

Visiting the Muellers in Geneva one last time

Eloise loved watching the world go by while we were on the train to Geneva.

Best Friends

Eloise pooped out on our walk back to their house from Lake Geneva. We walked down for a couple picnic lunches at the beach and marina.

Alan and I just fell in love with the small village, Prangins, where the Muellers live.

Eloise and I were able to attend the Kindermusik classes that Sarah teaches. Elosie loved it and joined right in.

As always, we had a wonderful time with Sarah, Daniel and Analise! Thank you so much for having us, we're going to miss you!

Our last week in Paris

At the very top of the Eiffel Tower on our last full day in Paris. Of all the fun things to do and see in Paris, we realized we hadn't been to the top and since it was a gorgeous day, we managed to squeeze it in.

no fear in this little one

Here is one of my only "real" French friends, Pascale. She and I met weekly at a cafe as conversation partners to practice my French and her English.
