We're really into hats lately

Eloise is very particular about hats and shoes lately. She actually loves to wear both and prefers that everyone else does, too. I love to be barefoot, but Eloise continually brings me my shoes and insists that I put them on. Hats too! Here are a few (ok, a lot) of shots of her over the past week with her favorite hats.

Thanks for this doggie hat, Auntie Kay & co. Eloise often wears this while playing around the house. I chuckle at her because it looks like she's wearing a pink helmet

I promise she can breathe....This is one her all time favorites. The container for a felt bowling pin set. I think she looks like an astronaut.

She always chooses to put this one on backwards...I guess it's easier.

We were checking out the new (hand-me-down-thanks amanda!) double stroller. Eloise has enjoyed climbing through every contraption for the new baby....15 days to go!

even lego boxes can function as hats!

doesn't everyone (dog) need a supervisor while eating dinner?

sidewalk chalk

Forgot to post these...

Just after Christmas, my best friend from high school,Amy, and her family stopped in Atlanta to visit for a few days on their way to Florida. Here is Amy and her new little princess. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of all her fellas. The weather was too cold to play outside, so along with my sister-in-law and mom, we took the 8 kids to Monkey Joe's (an indoor bouncy place). I had no clue if Eloise would be big enough to really have fun....no need to tell you, the pictures speak for themselves.

Thanks for the lift, Auntie Dawn! I did eventually take my turn down the slide with eloise too. I'm sure it was a sight with the big belly (basically, I'm willing to do anything to get labor started)!

the girl was definitely rockin' it.....and then promptly passed out in her car seat on the drive home.
We just brought the entire seat inside (since we were in the Cassedy's car anyways). See below. She stayed asleep like that for another half of an hour at least.

the potty

we received this 'oh so exciting froggy potty' from eloise's cousin. Well done emma for graduating! We're not trying to actively pursue potty training, but thought we'd start talking about it to eloise and put her on it before bathtime each night. However, eloise is absolutely not interested nor concerned with the real function of the potty, but loves to fill the pot with toys or put her feet down in it and then sit on the edge.

Happy New Year!

Our friends, Katie, Peter and Isaac came over for a New Year's Eve celbration. Isaac and Eloise are 4 months apart and becoming such little buddies. Although, I'm pretty sure that Isaac loves Logan more!!

Eloise's new thing is to back up and sit in between Logan's front paws like this. Not sure why it started, but it's fun to watch as she scoots backwards, bumping into Logan's face over and over until she's in just the right position.

Christmas eve and morning

Eloise relaxing before we headed to church to meet up with my family for Christmas eve.

Daddy reading 'the night before Christmas' in french to the crew.

We picked names among the adults to exchange gifts which also included a less than $5 gag gift t-shirt. These two were my favorites!

eloise was so excited and often lead anyone who was watching in a round of applause for all the fun! Her absolute favorite event, though, was playing in the gigantic mound of wrapping paper after all the gifts were opened. Unfortunately, I must not have a picture of it...too bad.

eloise and emma both received kitchens for christmas and are very IN to them. Emma plays the part very well, eloise just clears everything off and plays peek-a-boo with the oven door. These pictures are while they are playing with Grandma's new kitchen that she picked up at the good will.
