on the go

This clip is boring in the beginning but eventually gets to Margot walking. She's getting more into the idea of it everyday, but she still prefers to be carried or just on a lap, quite the little snuggle-bug! She's also in love with phones right now and thinks my little video camera is a cell phone, thus she starts talking on the phone at the very end of the clip.
ps. Happy Birthday GraMoM!! Can't wait to see you soon.

Big Girls

eloise is so excited and proud of her 'big girl' bed.
(and for getting her jessie doll back-it's a reward for potty training...I'll spare you the details)

and yes, we have another new cast. light blue this time.
and for the other big accomplishment....
Margot is walking. I am trying to capture it on video, but have not had success yet.
Stay tuned.

Springtime....yippee!!!

Eloise's cast hasn't slowed her down a bit! Which, as long as it's healing, is a good thing. We had our first picnic dinner at the park with friends and are so excited about spring. We still don't know how long the cast has to stay on, we go to see another Orthopedic doctor tomorrow morning.

this is Eloise's little buddy, Isaac

fighting over who's turn it is...

It's so gross, but I love the sweaty, grimy, dirt under the nails and in every fold.....we've had fun and played hard days!

It's broken!

We spent much of the evening and into the morning in the emergency room last night with Eloise. She fell onto her crib mattress wrong last night while getting into bed and broke her elbow.
POOR BABY!
She was very brave and seems to be just fine this morning and ready to show off her dinosaur sling. We have to go see and Orthopedic doc this week for the plan.
(note the gigantic sucker = mom's guilt, since i was the one putting her to bed)

Happy 1st Birthday, Margot!

the birthday girl with her cousins, Madeline and Davis

I added this one, just to show off the adorable bandanna skirts that my sister-in-law, Dawn, just whipped up for the girls and put in the mail once she knew it was a barnyard themed party. I'm trying to encourage Dawn to start her own business, I'll keep you posted with ordering details if she does!
(ps. Eloise received this baseball glove, I'm not sure if her dad wasn't more excited than she was)

So, even though Margot seems to love sweets, it took her quite awhile to start to dig in to her little piggy cake. She eventually figured it out and loved it...and the attention. Every time someone clapped for her or just basically said "hi" she would throw her hands up in the air with a big cheesy grin. TOO CUTE!

We can't believe how fast this year has gone. Margot, you are such a joy and we take great delight in you and cherish you dearly!! Happy Birthday our sweet little babe!

A few more of the Muellers

Here are a few more shots of our time together....Poor little Eli was very sick the entire week with a stomach bug. We managed to keep the rest of the crew healthy, thankfully! I couldn't help but take pictures of Eli, who was clearly out numbered by girls and girl stuff, in Margot's heart pajamas.

This was a 'make a silly face' contest.

This is her scary dinosaur face......rrrrrrooooaarrrrr!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had quite the dress-up tea party! Our friends from Paris, the Muellers (sans Daniel) were visiting for the week. Sarah and Daniel have two little ones that are pretty much exactly the same ages as our kids. The girls were each others very first friends in Paris and had fun looking back at pictures of when they were babies together. So, Grandma and Pops arrived and brought the party with them-we got all dolled up(mostly goodwill treasures and some homemade hats from Grandma)and loved it! The dress that I'm wearing is the very same one that I wore to my 10th grade Sweetheart dance, 17 YEARS AGO (hence the awesome style)!

We decorated cookies....or should I say added some cookies to gobs of frosting and sprinkles. Notes that the shades never left the girls' faces.
.
Our neighbor, Amanda, came to check out our fabulousness. She loves to play with the girls and give me grocery-shopping-kid-free-time....she's SO wonderful and the girls and I adore her!

Analise enjoying her hand of sprinkles

Enjoying our PB&J tea party

And, of course, it's not a party without dancing!

Thank you so much, Grandma! We love you!
